Lewis and Clark Reflection
Body Language
Did you stand up straight but stay relaxed?
Yes i did. You could also tell that i was kind of nervous.
Did you pause for a moment before you began your speech?
Yes i did. i took a minute and even said Mr.Berquist please give me a minute
Did you look at your audience?
Yes i did make a lot of eye contact with my audience. not a lot with the left side of the room.
Did you let your facial expressions naturally reflect what you were saying?
Yes i did. In the video when the question "What animal attacked Meriwehter Lewis?" pretty much everyone's hand went up i was shocked and my face showed it.
Did you use your hands?
Yes i did. When i would count something off i would use my fingers and hands.
Voice
Did you speak loudly enough so that everyone could hear you?
i did speak loud enough. It looked like i did in the video.
Did you change your tone to show how you felt (upset, excited) about an idea or to emphasize a point? I did not really change my voice. Pretty much only when I was shocked
Was your speed of delivery too fast, too slow or just right?
It was just right. People could understand me very well.
Did you practice your speech at home before giving it?
yes i did to my family. in my living room.
What did you notice that you did well in your speech?
I didn't look at the screen. That much.
Describe one aspect of public speaking you will work to improve?
